Directions:
Combine first four ingredients in a blender and blend thoroughly.
Transfer to a nonstick pot and stir over medium heat until thickened (just until bubbly). Remove from heat, stir in butter and vanilla.
Line the bottom of a 2.5 quart dish with whole vanilla wafers. Cover vanilla wafers with a layer of sliced bananas. Pour 1/2 of custard mixture over wafers and bananas. Repeat layering. Cover top layer of custard with crushed vanilla wafers. Refrigerate. Yummiest after you give it a chance to sit for a while.
